Attendance
In January 2024, we introduced our new attendance incentives and procedures. We involved the children in them and agreed on inclusive incentives…every child has the opportunity to achieve one!
We absolutely agree that if children are poorly, then they must stay home. However, through promoting attendance together, we are trying to encourage full attendance when children are not poorly.
Our incentives are:
The half-termly 100% incentive - instead of going for 100% over the school year, together we agreed that doing this half-termly means that all children can ‘reset’ and try again for the next half-term. The weekly 100% incentive - this is where all children who achieve 100% in one week receive a raffle ticket. They continue to receive a raffle ticket each week they are in. We then put all the raffle tickets in a ‘raffle wheel’ and drew it in assembly. Our last incentive is the Bee Here Battle! The children really wanted to keep this one and so we did! It is the half-termly prize for the class with the best attendance.Parents/ Carers Attendance Letters
