Brief school update
9 June 2020 (by admin)
On the 20th May, myself and the governors wrote to you informing you that from June 1st we would reopen school for key worker and vulnerable children, and then carefully review for gradual wider opening. More information will be sent out to you, following this review, in the next day or so.
There has been an increase in the number of parents wanting their children to return to school and this will need to be considered, whilst still prioritising key worker and vulnerable children. There has also been a lot of news coverage recently about wider reopening and the ’R’ rate in the North West increasing above 1, which has resulted in a mixed picture of what schools are doing in Copeland and across Cumbria.
Key worker children do continue to be a priority group. If you are a key worker and are returning to work, and therefore need to send your child back to school, please fill in the survey below and contact school. Once we have this information, and evidence that you are a key worker, we can carry out the necessary arrangements for your child to return to school.
