Making learning irresistible

Last day of the school year!!!  This morning IF we had been in school we would have had our end of term celebration assembly and then we would have spent the morning enjoying each others' company, playing games and having some fun!

So let's keep it as much the same as usual as we can.  I will email Miss Wilkinson's assembly link to you all so that you can watch it this morning.  Then I thought you could look at the photos and videos from our 'Escape Room' afternoon last week.....AND....have a go at designing your own 'Escape Room' with puzzles to solve and challenges to take on.  Bring these into school when we return and we can try them out!

For science you will need to try and gather some bits and pieces.  Try to do this before the lesson so that you are fully prepared!

  • A container of some description - tupperware container,  a plastic milk carton with top half removed, bucket etc
  • A glass of water
  • Some small stones
  • Some (wait for it....) WORMS
  • Some food scraps - vegetable peelings, left over lettuce/salad

Have fun!! (whatever it may be that you are doing!)

Last nights loss against Italy was a true reflection of everything we ask you as St Patrick’s learners to be: resilient, courageous, proud, confident and ultimately hopeful. Don’t EVER stop dreaming and believing in success, we have the World Cup coming up next year and it could still be “coming home”.

This mornings anthem for all of us has got to be

I hope you find this uplifting and positive! We came so far and we MUST celebrate this success!!! Have a great day everyone xx

Noah Stainton - I expect you to blast this song out on our return in September and inspire us all to join in!!!!

Additional Activity: Learn the words to the above song as part of today's football anthems music session!  SING AS LOUD AS YOU CAN!!!

Well Year Three....we ALMOST made it to the end of term, but not to worry, these things happen!  We ended on a high and had a great sports day yesterday!!  At least we are working together next year so we don't have to be sad that we didn't get to say a end of term goodbye or we will still be next door to one another so we can still have little chats and catch ups!

Below are the details of your work for today.  You may remember that we had a 'The Greatest Showman' movie afternoon planned for all  of Year Three, with snacks and popcorn.  I am sure that your parents will be happy for you to still do this at home, if you don't have this movie, then try to choose a magical/carnival themed one - but whatever you choose please enjoy it!!

I have sent a Zoom meeting invite to you all for Monday morning, this is just to say hello and have a catch up and hopefully share our excitement of a successful EUROS final!!!
