St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School

Making learning irresistible

Religious Education.

Could we please ask you to encourage the children to maintain a sense of our Catholic ethos during these uncertain times.  As part of their home learning we ask that you spend some time reflecting upon the Sunday Gospel.  This can be found on our website, along with a message from Fr Paul.  Spend some time discussing what the gospel says to you and share your thoughts in your 'Home Learning' book.

26/4/20 - This has now been updated and includes the Gospel from this Sunday.  Please share as a family and complete one of the reflections.

Please remember to join in with Tom Carradine's live sing song. Aimed specifically at Primary School aged children, this special 15 minute sing-a-long will be broadcast at 11am BST on Thursday 7th May 2020 on Tom’s YouTube channel. (click the blue lettering to take you directly there)  Videos of you singing would be fabulous if you fancy showing off your singing talent to us!!

We wanted to share with a lovely activity that Gracie Williams has been working on!  She has created a piece of lockdown memory word art!  It is so lovely we just had to share it with you all!  Perhaps you would also like to create something similar?  Well done Gracie, hopefully this beautiful example will inspire so many more pieces of memory word art.  Remember if you want to share any of your work with us email:

Good morning. As you saw yesterday we uploaded some fun family VE day themed activities. Today we have got some ideas of VE day theme recipes to try. During the war food was rationed and there wasn't much food or choice. So everyone had to make recipes with the food they had available.  Please find attached the recipe book and try some of them out. Please take some photos of what you try and email them to school. or add them to the comments on Facebook. Happy cooking!!!

In honour of our incredible carers at the NHS, John Lewis have organised a competition, they need you to design a superhero-themed bears – don’t feel like you have to stick to the traditional brown bear – they we want to see all kinds of super teddies.
Try and incorporate unique elements through colours, patterns, capes, masks – whatever feels exciting for you, but please avoid using any recognisable icons in your designs, such as the ‘NHS’ lettering or Superman logos.

If you need a bit of help getting started, then please download the teddy bear drawing template from their website.
Share your superhero teddy bear design with us by 5pm on 8 May 2020. An adult over the age of 18 should submit a photo of your design in one of the following two ways:
Share your designs by email to
