Making learning irresistible

Foundation Fun Fridays!

Good morning Year Two!

Lets hope it's a little cooler today.

I hope you enjoy the music activities that Mrs Bell has organised. I am looking forward to creating a musical instrument and also singing along to the fabulous songs in the Lion King!

Enjoy the weekend

Three weeks left until the summer holidays

Thursday 25th June

Good morning children!

We are nearly through another week of home learning, so keep pushing and stay resilient!

Enjoy today's lessons! I've also uploaded the bits for your foundation fun Friday just in case your grown ups need to grab anything for it.

There are only two activities for you to complete today as I think the writing will take a little longer. You may even want to finish your writing tomorrow morning. Make sure you spend some time enjoying the lovely sunshine, you may even have a paddling pool to splash around in!!

Wednesday 24th June

Good morning everyone!

Halfway through another week and you're still working amazingly! I'm very proud!

Lessons today are Literacy, Maths and RE.

Tuesday 23rd June

Good Morning Year Two

Keep up the hard work everyone!

Todays lessons are literacy, numeracy and Topic.

For your Topic lesson this week, our focus is Scotland! I love Scotland, I think it is such a beautiful place to visit and I regularly stay in Edinburgh. Have a read through the PowerPoint below and then I want you to do the following activities:

  • Create a Scotland fact page to go in your UK booklet. I want you to include things like the capital city, a famous landmark, something traditionally eaten in Scotland and a traditional celebration held in Scotland, such as the Highland games or Burns night!
  • Create your own Tartan design! I've included some pictures of tartan below and an outline if you would like to use it. You can be as colourful as you like!

Welcome to another week of learning Year Two!

I hope you have enjoyed your weekend. Well done to all those children who entered the writing competition last week. Those that I read were really good. Today your lessons are literacy, maths and science.
